As well as in the middle of the park, it is believed that a new goalkeeper, defender and forward are also on the agenda – but a potential opening in Mikel Arteta's midfield has seen a host of big names linked with a move to the Emirates lately.

Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for Thomas Partey(GiveMeSport), and with the Ghanaian entering the final 12 months of his contract, Premier League stars like Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes are being targeted by Edu.

Arsenal have apparently held discussions with Guimaraes and his entourage already, with the Brazilian's contract set to include a £100 million release clause from the end of May to the last week of June (Fabrizio Romano), though they will have to fend off rival interest from Manchester City.

He is by no means the only midfielder linked with a move to north London, though, as reports have also surrounded Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi. Tuttosport boldly claimed this week that Arsenal have already made a formal bid to sign Zubimendi, with the Spaniard's contract including a far more affordable exit clause of around £52 million.

£50-£60 million Everton ace Amadou Onana is believed to be on Arsenal's transfer shortlist as well, but former defender Mikael Silvestre believes he isn't quite ready to step up to that level.

"He’s (Onana) improved a lot," said Silvestre. "I’m not sure he’s at the level to improve the current squad. One of those is Leuven midfielder Ezechiel Banzuzi, who, according to Voetbal International, the Foxes have already made a “big offer” for ahead of the New Year.

Brighton, as well as an unnamed Ligue 1 club, are also interested in the 19-year-old Dutchman, claims Voetbal, but Leicester could have the advantage because they are and Leuven are owned by the same man, Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha.

Leuven are understood to be holding out for £12.4 million for Banzuzi, who joined the club last summer from NAC Breda.

In other Leicester City transfer news, the Foxes have also been linked with a move for Hertha Berlin’s Ibrahim Maza. Several Premier League clubs are reported to be keeping an eye on his situation, and he could be available for around £17 million in January.

But alongside the good performances, there was one Wolves man in particular who has been under scrutiny in recent weeks, and could find himself on his way out, after another poor performance, being hooked after 75 minutes.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away in the January transfer window – amid interest from West Ham United – and this performance won’t have fans begging him to stay. Hwang didn’t make a single key pass in the game, both of his shots were off target and his only ‘big chance’ of the match was missed.

The forward clearly didn’t give up, still winning three of his five ground duels and making a tackle in the game, but the output and creativity weren’t of the standard needed, especially to earn himself more consistent minutes in the Premier League going forwards.

When considering the form of other attacking players at Wolves currently, such as Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen, you can definitely see why Hwang is now seen as expendable, and a sale could allow Pereira to make moves of his own in the window.

-Eu estava muito confiante que o Weverton ia pegar ali, graças a Deus foi um antes de eu bater, então eu fui confiante, fui tranquilo para quando chegasse o momento, eu finalizasse e deu tudo certo.
